HURCO History

HURCO Companies Inc. was founded in 1968 by Gerald Roch and Edward Humston. The name of the company is an acronym formed from the following initial letters:

"HU” for Humston,
"R” for Roch and
"CO" for Company.

The industrial technology company designs and produces interactive computer controls, software and computerized machine tools and machine tool components. The end market for the company's products consists primarily of independent job shops and short-run manufacturing operations within large corporations in industries such as aerospace, defense, medical equipment, energy, transportation and computer equipment.

As an internationally operating company it has production facilities in Taiwan, Italy and China with sales companies and subsidiaries in Germany, Italy, France, England, Poland, China, India, Singapore and South Africa. Our sales department is structured in a clear and efficient manner.

Due to the size of our company we are able to quickly and flexibly fulfill individual customer requirements with optimum, partner-oriented service while responding to future requirements with innovative solutions.
